Who we work for

Maintenance for grocery, convenience and bodegas

A grocery runs refrigeration all day, takes cart and trolley damage all day, and cannot close to have either of them fixed.

Grocery and convenience property concentrates its maintenance in two places. The refrigeration is the business, and the openings take constant physical abuse from traffic, carts and deliveries.

The operators are mostly independent, which means there is rarely a facilities department and rarely a single vendor. The result is a building maintained one emergency at a time, which is the most expensive way to run one.

What we get called for

  • Walk-in cooler and freezer faults, and reach-in case failures
  • Cooler and freezer door gaskets, hinges and closers
  • Entrance doors, automatic operators and the hardware carts destroy
  • Broken glass, storefront damage and emergency board-up
  • Rekeying after staff departures, which are frequent
  • Shelving, gondola repair and stockroom fitting
  • Floor tile, wall damage and making good
  • Sales floor and cold aisle relamping
  • Restroom and back-of-house maintenance for inspection

How the work splits

What we do ourselves on a grocery and convenience, and what we bring a licence in for.

Florida requires a licensed contractor for electrical, plumbing, HVAC and refrigeration at any job size, and for anything needing a permit in any trade. Everything else we perform with our own employees.

Performed by our technicians

  • Cooler and freezer door hardware, gaskets, hinges and closers
  • Entrance doors, thresholds, panic hardware and alignment
  • Storefront glass, re-glazing and emergency board-up
  • Locks, rekeying, keypads and stockroom access
  • Shelving, drywall, tile and making good
  • Relamping, fixture mounting and painting

Coordinated through licensed contractors

  • Refrigeration systems, compressors, cases and cold rooms
  • Electrical, including case circuits and anything touching wiring
  • Plumbing and drainage
  • HVAC, and any work requiring a permit

Why TrionX

How we approach grocery and convenience work.

The door is usually the refrigeration fault

A cold room losing temperature is often a gasket, a hinge or a closer rather than a compressor, and that half is in-house work we can do the same day. We check the door before anyone books a refrigeration contractor.

One number for a building with no facilities team

Independent operators do not have a maintenance department, and calling four trades separately is where the week goes. One work order covers the doors, the glass, the locks, the finishes and the coordination of the licensed trades.

Work that fits a store that never closes

Overnight and early morning are normal for this property type, and the scope says so from the start rather than the technician arriving at a busy trading hour and leaving again.

Common questions

Grocery in Miami: questions we get asked

My walk-in is losing temperature. Is that always a refrigeration call?

No, and it is worth checking the door first. A worn gasket, a dropped hinge or a closer that no longer pulls the door shut will lose temperature exactly like a failing system, and all of that is in-house work we can do the same day. If the door is sound, we scope the fault and bring in a licensed refrigeration contractor.

Do you repair refrigeration cases and compressors?

No. Refrigeration requires a licensed contractor in Florida at any job size. We scope the fault, bring in a licensed contractor who carries their own insurance, and handle the scheduling, site access and the record afterwards. Door hardware, gaskets and the surrounding structure are ours.

Can you work overnight or before opening?

Yes, and for a store that trades long hours it is usually the only workable option. Tell us your trading pattern when you raise the job and it is priced and planned that way rather than discovered on the day. Emergencies are dispatched whenever they happen.

What gets fixed before a health inspection?

The items that are not equipment: damaged wall and floor finishes, gaps around doors, doors that do not close and latch, missing or untested emergency lighting, and damaged shelving. All of that is performed by our own technicians and none of it needs a Florida contractor licence.

Do you cover several stores under one account?

Yes. Multi-site operators get the same closeout format across every location, which is what makes a repeating fault visible instead of buried in separate invoice piles. One number covers every property across Miami-Dade County.

Check the door before you book the compressor

Gaskets, hinges and closers lose temperature exactly like a failing system, and that half we fix the same day. Where the fault is genuinely the refrigeration, a licensed contractor takes it and we handle the scheduling and the record.
