Locks and access control for Miami offices
Most office buildings know which locks they have and not who holds keys to them, which is a security position nobody chose.
Office lock work concentrates around two events: a suite changing tenant and a person leaving. Both are routine, both leave keys in circulation, and both are trivial to handle if a register exists and expensive if one does not.
The other half is access. A master key system without a maintained register is a set of cylinders that happen to share pins, and a card system where nobody has revoked a credential in a year produces a log that looks authoritative and is not.

Keep the hierarchy flat
Three levels covers most office buildings. Every extra level adds pins to each cylinder, which creates more unintended combinations that will operate that lock and makes it easier to manipulate.
Building access is scoped before dispatch
Certificate of insurance lodged with management, freight lift booked and work planned for permitted hours. Access delays office jobs more than the repair does, so it is handled before anyone is sent.

Questions we get asked
Can you take over an existing master key system?
Usually. If the system is intact and a few doors have drifted out of it, repinning those back in is straightforward. If nobody can account for the masters in circulation, the honest answer is a rebuild, and we say so rather than patching a system that no longer means anything.
What does a suite turnover involve for locks?
Rekeying every cylinder including the ones off the main circulation, which means stockrooms, roof access, risers and any cage or padlock. Done after the outgoing contractors finish and before the incoming ones start, since fit-out crews get issued keys.
Do you fit and service card access?
We fit, rehang and maintain reader hardware, keypads and door furniture, and change codes and credentials. Wiring, power supplies and panel connections are licensed electrical work in Florida at any job size, so an electrician handles that part and we coordinate it.
Is a restricted keyway worth it on an office building?
If key control is the reason you have a master system, yes. On a standard keyway anyone holding a master can produce more masters for the price of a blank, which makes the whole hierarchy a convenience feature rather than a security one.
